Manual D is the ACCA procedure for designing residential duct systems so each room gets the airflow the load calculation calls for. It is the duct-side partner to Manual J sizing.

Can you fix ducts without replacing the AC?

Often yes — sealing, adding returns, correcting crushed flex, or redesigning a branch can transform comfort on existing equipment. Sometimes equipment and ducts should be upgraded together; we tell you which case you are in.

Why do attic ducts struggle in Florida?
